X-cone
X-cone traffic cone management system.
The Austrian company Janschitz manufactures and supplies automatic cone deployment machines worldwide. Via Nordic distributes and supports the product in Norway. To date, one unit has been delivered to Norway and is currently undergoing field testing.
The machine is mounted on an existing pickup vehicle and requires only an electrical power connection. Specially designed cones are used; each cone weighs approximately 7 kg. The machine can store and deploy 17 stacks of 13 cones, corresponding to a total capacity of 221 cones. Due to the total weight, the system should be installed on a vehicle with a C1 vehicle classification.
