Via Gate – functional barrier:
The Via Gate emergency barrier gate is designed to create an opening in the central median, allowing rescue teams—such as police, ambulance, and fire brigade—to quickly cross from one roadway to the opposite carriageway. The Via Gate is developed by Force Nordic AB and produced by Via Nordic AS.
Via gate has approximate the same opening as the Oslo barrier (Oslo Bommen)

Via Gate is primarily an operational opening that can also be used to guide traffic. The barrier can be opened within a few minutes manually and with the help of a hydraulic power unit that is brought to site.
There are two identical barrier arms, each 14.5 meters long, giving a construction width of 29 m and an opening of 28 meters. On each barrier arm there are two posts in casing pipes, and the barrier housing is anchored to a larger concrete foundation. Transition barriers have been developed for connection to H1 concrete and steel barriers.
